This issue requires a smart dealership shop foreman and a bunch of time. Zip you can do about it yourself, and the seat rear down is a major piece of work. It’s a) software in informant, b) software in seat module(s), c) seat element. Given how much work the seat is they won’t authorize it until A) and B) are tried. There are two TSB on this.

if ur out of warranty its not worth the $$ to fix it.
Thats insane man, i am a diehard mopar guy but shouldve headed the warnings on these. Mechanically the 5.7 with 8 speed is solid as it should be but i guess with all these bugs the folks with minimal tech and base series 1 models are probably better off. Honestly id swap mine for a base cause i love the ride and power/smooth shifts etc over the GM twins. The sequoia is growing on me and as much as I am a hemi fanatic i may just have to join the v6 twin turbo Toyota guys soon

Purchased my 2022 Wagoneer in December of 2021. The entire year of 2022 into the spring of 2023 I took my Wagoneer in at least 15 times to have them work on the heated seat issue. Every time they swore they fixed it, it would do it again. Finally said it was because the bad part kept being sent to them. An entire lot of this part was bad but when they ordered a new one the bad lot number would still be sent. After constantly speaking to Wagoneer customer service and the dealership, and contemplating a buyback, but at the time and still today interest rates are ridiculous it wouldn't be worth it to buy back and then buy another car at a higher rate. Spring of 2023 I finally think it's fixed. I don't have an issue until Dec 2023. I wake up to take it to the dealership for an oil change and I think to myself can't wait to tell them that the seat hasn't had any issues I think they finally fixed it. No Joke, on the way to the dealership the seat shuts off! I don't even say anything because why bother? Wagoneer needs to recall this issue and fix it at no cost to them. I'm no longer in warranty so I know I will pay for it. Is now Jan and it happens almost every day now that it's freezing outside. The best recommendation is to never use the hottest setting. use level 2 or 1. On a funnier note, the wagoneer rental they provided to me on multiple occasions the heated seats didn't work either!

I agree there needs to be a recall on this issue. The lowest setting for the heated seat for me is a hit or miss scenario, sometimes it'll stay on most other times it shuts off. So frustrating since I've been in an artic freeze where I live.

I didn’t realize I had a heated seat issue. They always turned off after a couple of minutes, so I figured that’s how they worked. I had my wagoneer series 3 in for another fix, and they gave me a grand Wagoneer. The grand Wagoneer heated seats stayed on the whole time. So now I know I have a heated seat issue. They are replacing my radio in a couple of weeks and I will have them push that software fix as well. I will let you know if it doesn’t fix the issue.

I had the same issue, with my passenger seat. I took it in, they determined there were exposed wires in the seat that were causing the seat to overheat and it would shut off on its own. There was a considerable amount of damage/burned areas to the internal parts of the seat, so they had to replace the seat. But it is happening again, so I’m not sure what could be the issue now….
That’s not the only issue I have had, I’ve also had my entire rear differential replaced within 5mons of purchasing brand new. I’m not too educated on how vehicles should be built, but I believe there is suppose to be fluid in it, and mine had none apparently when they took it apart and looked.

The seat is a nightmare until it’s fixed, I saw the insides - not simple in anyway. Seat vendor (I’m sure it’s outsourced) had quality control issues, but given how complicated it is inside I’m not suprised.

mine got software (2x) then new heater elements before it worked.

Ours has went out for the second time now. And the dealership is being of no help. If anybody has any ideas we'd appreciate it. Having the heated seats in MN was a driving decision in buying this vehicle. We've had so many qwirky issues, mostly electronic. Very frustrating.

Don't be shocked it will keep giving you random bugs electronically. Our seats are fixed now after a few fights and Jeep stepping in via the CRT TEAM which is client retention team. It was the heated seat module and heated seat element for ours, both driver and passenger was replaced it has been fine since March of this year now however we did notice that the passengers doesn't get as hot on level 1 or 2 like the driver side does, the driver side gets hot on low lol but it stays on.

Oh and the batteries they have from factory are garbage. I had mine dying on us at restaurants and finally swapped the battery myself and all is well with it cranking up etc. Wild super terrible given the hemi isn't bad but man the electrical bugs are ridiculous lol.

On another note I heard the 24s aren't as bad but the motor is newer and has some bugs given its newer lol. So not buying anything new from them.
