That sounds good and I’m truly glad it worked out. With that being said, who wants to go through all that with every repair. You sound like they did you a favor. On the contrary, that’s the least they could do for your troubles.
My 22 WSII sat in the shop for nearly 3 weeks for a 48V hybrid battery…..a damn battery that involved opening a STAR case.

My 2023 with 14,000 miles said it over heated today, then the engine low oil pressure light came on, trans wouldn't shift. Not sure if this is the thermostat, but when towed to the dealer, they acted as though they've heard this before??

That's exactly what it is. When you get the lights, toggle your screen over to the temp and pressure gauges cluster. If you let it cool, you can limp it. Just keep the coolant temps under 237...

Mine had oil in the coolant overflow tank also , and you could see oil seeping threw the coolant hoses. 49 days in the shop and still no word on the cause , they just say waiting for an engine.

Manhattan Jeep. Two weeks to the day. Worst part is there are no loaners in the area available nor do they do pickup and drop off. Wagoneer promise is false advertising in my opinion.
I agree! Two dealerships and neither has had a loaner. I was told today there was a 2 week waiting list for a loaner! Now my Wagoneer S3 was towed in for over heating and oil pressure issues and looks to be down for a while. So I was forced to get a rental. Wagoneer Services said that they will reimburse for some of that rental?? Let's see how that goes!

I would NOT trust them on reimbursement….i know easier said than done and I would fight tooth and nail for a “comparable” vehicle as the loaner and get it in writing….get lawyers and states AG offices involved…49 days….I bet they are NOT offering to make the two months of payments. Sounds like a lot of people need to check their states “Lemon Laws” and see what recourse they may have…

You can be pretty certain that even if they do a LL buyback….they will try everything they can to keep it off CARFAX, so as not to scare the next customer.

I know I don’t have a dog in these fights, but closely monitoring thread in the event I do. So far my Thermostat has held, but road trip coming in December across mountainous terrain for at least two states!…I will be watching temps!

I know how you feel, reading these threads can certainly give some anxiety. That said, we took our GW to Yosemite in 104-degree temps and not one issue.

Honestly after that trip, I am even more impressed by how great this Jeep drives! The power was great and very liner for a turbo and we had quite a climb till we dropped down into the valley.

Update: The next day, the dealer called and sure enough it was the thermostat. It also needed a new oil pressure sending switch. The break down was on a Wednesday and they had it fixed on Friday. They kept it over the weekend to drive it several times to make sure it was working properly. I'm still paranoid driving now, constantly watching the temperature! The tech told me that these Wagoneers have issues and they're never sure what's next. I'm thinking of getting rid of it and am looking at other full size SUVs. Since my truck is only 14 months old, that hit I'll take is concerning. No way any of us should be dealing with this on a vehicle that cost upwards of $90K.

Curious of where your temps are at?
I had my thermostat and waterpump replaced at 16,000 miles and have driven it for another 6,000 miles. But I watch the temp all the time and my temps in traffic/pick up line get up in the 220 to 230. Then go down once I start driving. It never goes over the half way temp mark just hovers right before it. Asked the service and he said as long as it does not go over he would not worry?

I would bet heavily that they replaced the item dealing with oil pressure as a just in case. I'd think it was just the thermostat. Odds of both failing together are tiny. That being said, it's a thermostat. There are plenty of excellent vehicles that have had a weird supplier defect or other small issue. If what is being rumored is true, that there was a defect for a certain run of these thermostats, then I wouldn't worry. I actually find it therapeutic now to watch the gauges go up to temps in the morning and I toggle frequently as more of a hobby than anything. The worst thing to deal with is paranoia. So don't let it get to you and enjoy your Wagoneer, somehow. I also am not a fan of Stellantis and the way they do business. But the high points of this vehicle are pretty stankin high....

Well, you can add me to the club....

My wife got the overheating warning yesterday while on the freeway, once she got off the freeway, the warning went away. No issues while she was running errands, then got back on the freeway and once she hit about 70mph it came back, so she slowed down and the warning went away.

I drove it last night, no warning came on for me, but temps are rather higher at speeds of 65-75mph, running about 220-230 degrees. Driving in stop n go, temps are about 210-220. So I am guessing mine is stuck in a mid possition?

So, I'm just going to keep an eye on it till we can get it in which will be Nov 6th. Ugh

210-220 is fine. If it starts getting to 230 all the time, I'd really watch it. 236 is where the needle will start moving upwards. Mine doesn't go above 227, or so, with the replacement thermostat.

So while on my way to the dealer, temps hit about 241 while on the freeway, the outside temp was 58 degrees. Seems way too hot for the outside temp, again once I stopped it went down to about 219-225.

HJ…..that is good information and actually provides a temperature that owners/drivers can monitor and have a “reference “ temperature and some guidance for what to do.

I will admit, I normally only follow the virtual gauge in the cluster, I am sure I am not alone. Most drivers would only start monitoring the temperature readout when the primary gauge starts Clint, and potentially be too late.

Again, I hope I don’t have this problem, especially since my 23 JGW-S3 is now on its fifth day at dealership still waiting even be looked at for the battery issue….. some are calling it a lemon, I hope not, and hopefully just a simple matter of selling dealer replacing battery with a sub par spec one….used what was on hand not what was right!

Jeep's OEM batteries are crap, that's not unusual and not a sign of bigger problems. The only wacky thing there is that it's taking them days to change a battery. That's a ten minute job they should do on the spot while you wait.

Oh, and insist that they replace both batteries or you'll be back.

Took nearly three weeks to replace the 48V hybrid battery. Largely due to having to open a STAR case and wait for response.

Oh gotcha, I thought we were talking about the Hurricane power train, which just has a regular battery, and a little lawnmower type battery, both easily accessible. The hybrid batteries are a much bigger deal to replace!

I don’t give a darn what battery it is, not being snarky at you, being down for nearly three weeks is ridiculous!
