Is 235-240 degrees ok for highway, street, and idling temps? On a 90 degree day. It seems high to me, but I'm seeing conflicting info here on if it's "normal and ok", or "frequent issue".

Actually, during this hot girl summer, I haven't seen it get close to 220. The fans always turn on well before. 240 is going to move the needle, so I wouldn't say that's ok.

ours was down over 6 weeks for this issue. In another state as well. That was fun, I had to have a work colleague Uber 2.5 hours back to the airport. At 31K we are now on our second T-stat, and a second gasket replacement on the 3rd one on the car since new.

I see 225-237 with most driving. Right now with it being so hot, I see about 199-220 at the most, as the fan is on High with A/C running.

I am member of the 2023 GW 3 Hurricane engine Thermostat club. I have had that and a battery in 13 months. In both cases lost 1 week. I love the car and if it's small occasional issues, I am OK. There should be no problems, but a few small ones, I can live with.

Just happened to me yesterday with my 23 GW obsidian. Had it towed to a dealership because it shut down in the road with a semi behind me, while my two children were also in the car 😠

16,900 when it went .we have 56,000miles now ,so we have 39,100 on new thermostat.

Yeah, it's going to happen early. Mine was at about 23k miles, I think? Just passed 60k miles yesterday. No issues since the replacement...
