Sorry for the delay. Dealer actually had received the thermostat that matches the number ending with AA early, and fixed it in a day! No issues since. 20k on Series II Carbide.

The dealer also mentioned there have been no returns for service after installing the new thermostat on a "good amount" of Wagoneers.
Encouraging. Thank you!

ours literally just got fixed for this. 3 weeks ago truck overheated. had to be towed. they had it fixed in 3 days with new stat.

regarding the loaner. I have had ours in 4 times in 12k miles. they pretty much say t me the minute they see my face "don't start yelling we have a loaner already for you". i got em trained like dogs. i told. them we have a nice 100k 7 year relationship under warrenty.

My 2023 Series 3 had thermostat replaced last week at 16,700 miles. Thanks to this forum for pointing me in right direction after we started to overheat and then weeks later noticed issues around 50 MPH - revving like it didn’t want to change gears.

Same issue with our standard output. Temp got to 250ish degrees pulling a very small trailer. AC would cut out and engine power reduced and would not get up to over 3500 RPM when climbing very small inclines, created a dangerous situationon in a 75 mph zome and could not even maintain 60 on the inclines. No dash lights lit up, no warning or anything that alerted we were getting close to a motor melt down. Luckily I had enough knowledge to realize the two symptoms amd started immediately monitoring the gauge screen. Probably saved the engine from self destruction. Had just had dealer oil change two days prior. On waiting list till next month to get it in. They have another one in been in for two weeks waiting on thermostat. Appears to be an extremely common issue. Sounds like we need a nation wide recall and an added warranty period for potential engine damage that may have occurred do to a prematurely failed part that is obviously a known issue with these vehicles.

When the thermostat fails what temps are ya seeing? Any engine damage or failures occurring from it? I seen 250degree plus temp on my gauge and never got a dash light or message and for an aluminum and composite engine assembly that seems very high. It did lose power and ac cut off until it cooled down. No loss of coolant

If that needle moves anywhere higher than normal, get a new t stat. For me, just below the half hash is normal. At about 238, I believe, that needle will start moving up. But it won't take more than 20 degrees to peg it.

2023 Grand Wagoner L 22,000 miles overheated thermostat replaced on 3 days pretty quick turn around time. Was curious if there have been any reoccurring issues with this same part or one and done? I have had a number of small electrical issues with this vehicle and curious what is next.

What kind of electrical issues? I noticed for a few months now that the primary LCD screen in the dash seems to almost glitch or a refresh every 30-45 seconds. Anyone ever see that?

Just got it back from dealer with new thermostat. The AA part number so hope we're done with that

Our infotainment screen had some issues and was replaced and is wayyy better. But when the battery was going bad it did act odd and refreshed, randomly or froze.

The Wagoneers do not like low voltage

Agreed , but also not above changing part number so computer says not compatible with your VIN number…they can change part number but no change to the actual part…charge more to say it is a new part. Most of them are good, but only takes one rotten apple as they say!
