Has anyone had any issues with the main screen display going black, shutting off, red screen sweeping from left to right side and not working at all? Also buzzing in the speakers when this is on going? Now as of this morning my wife was on the way back from taking our kids to school and she said the drivers dash lit up with lights, "dingers" going off and 4X4 lights flashing and stabilitrak warning flashing, and locked up the emergency braking! After multiple restart attempts she was able to get it home and in the driveway the same thing happened. We contacted the dealership and we are getting it towed there to be checked out. The vehicle is only a few months old with about 3400 miles on it.
Has anyone had this happen, any of these issues? The main display has done this multiple times but this new issues is extremely alarming activating the emergency brake system while driving is something that I, nor she, is comfortable with. Any help is very much appreciated.

I have had the same issue with some background noise (I thought it was coming from my iPhone at first) in the speakers when I have the volume turned down on the radio. My seat heaters have consistently turned themselves off, today I tried the medium setting but it still shut off after a few minutes. I had one incident with the parking break, but I thought maybe I had inadvertently engaged it. I also had the 4 wheel low kick in, but again, I may have accidentally touched the switch to turn it on. The background noise has been intermittent but has happened multiple times.

This was posted on the Jeep Grand Wagoneer (2022) Facebook site. There are several issues of this happening.

I have a Series lll Wagoneer.
I can tell you from experience (just yesterday) that there’s an issue! My 4wD indicator lights came on by themselves yesterday, my stability control lights came on, said I needed to service both and then took it upon itself to engage my park brake, WHILE I WAS IN MOTION. It was a very scary moment. I’m thankful that I was on a back road, that no one was behind me and that I was not on the interstate.
It was towed to the dealership this morning, where another Wagoneer is being serviced for the same issue. And the tow truck driver told me he towed a Wagoneer to another dealership last week because the park brake engaged and wouldn’t release.
My front display has also freaked out a few times but always comes back to life. They are checking on that also.
I’ll update when I know more!

Thanks for sharing, lol, this is my wife actually and she posted to the FB page after i read on here in another post that someone said to get on there and look as people were posting similar issues. Since we have been in contact with the dealer, we now have a "Wagoneer rep" (if you will) that talks to my wife everyday. Still no repair or fix made yet. We also heard that they momentarily stopped selling Wagoneers for now, has anyone been told that or that can speak to it?

Wow have not heard that but on the "Jeep Grand Wagoneer 2022" Facebook site there was a response from one of the workers at the plant and they are working two 10 hours shifts, 7 days a week. They get Christmas off. SO very interesting to see what happens. There are many issues. We were ready to buy a GW 3 and I started looking at the forums and that is when I saw all the issues pop up. I am putting together a list, status, frequency, severity, safety, recalls, service bulletins, and other info and if towing was required. I will post that on both forums when done. Thank you very much for your input it is greatly appreciated and know when it all fixed you will love it. Merry Christmas to your family!

I recently had the same issue with the 4wd on my 2022 series 3. It started flashing to service 4wd and engaged in to what I thought was 4 low while driving. I have owned the vehicle for 1 month and after driving it 2 weeks it spent the next 2 weeks back at the dealership trying to figure out what was wrong. I got it back yesterday and today they picked it back up still with issues, when i turn the steering wheel it just drags and a grinding sound . I am sick over this and also scared it will happen again. Is this just an issue in the 4wd wagoneers?

Question, did you get this issue fixed? I had the same issue a week ago, my Wagoneer Series III is in the shop and seems like they don't know how to fix it. so I was just wondering if you had any success with a fix and would be willing to share.

We are having the same problems….video display module failures and replacement; driver seater heater inoperable; seat stitching coming un-done; video monitors not operating properly and inconsistently; dealers refusing to fix the vehicle; warped seat-back covers; 4WD drive error; and Apple CarPlay randomly disconnecting and reconnecting to name a few.

Client service has no really interest in fixing and addressing the issues. Beyond that, the dealers honoring the “10 promising” is a joke. They have never offered to pick-up and deliver my vehicle once; never have they washer and detailed the vehicle at any services; and the loaners they offer is a joke - a basic compact Grand Cherokee. We were pretty confident our issues were not isolated.

Stellantis is not motivated to address these issues. What are next steps?

So ive owned my wagoneer series 3 4x4 since the end of December 2021. Here are the following issues ive experienced.
1. Heated driver seats shut off when on high after apx 10 mins.
2. 4x4 system engaged by it self causing binding.
3. Radio not working on and off problem.
4. Rear park sense wont stop making noise even though nothing is near the sensor. I would be driving and the senor would be beeping while in drive lol. Just turned that feature off until jeep can fix it.
5. Had the power running board stuck open one time.
There was a few more problems but i cant remember atm. Anyways the car is going into service late this month.

We took delivery on our WS3 and are loving it. The only issues so far are the heated seat thing (max heat too hot anyway) and wireless connectivity on Android Auto (Seems to be an issue with multiple auto makers). Will update as our journey progresses.

Add me to the list. Service 4x4, stabiltrak, front collision light warning and now binding when turning so the 4x4 system won't disengage. The pakring brake automatically came on but was when I was in the garage. Restarted and the lights go off on the dash but the 4x4 system still won't disengage. 5200 miles. Time to get it in for service so they can report another one to Wagoneer engineers

Since the second 4x4 service i havent had the 4x4 act up again. But our radio randomly doesnt let us change the station with the touch screen and the Bluetooth is acting up along with the android auto. Also the memory seats seem to forget my settings all the time.

#21 ·
If you haven't get your rigs in for service. Mine has 5 updates (3 software and 2 hardware) including one specific software update for the 4x4 issue. Also they are testing the heated seats and mine failed the test so they have to replace an element according to the TSB (on the high settling would time out). Also I guess there is an issue with the fog lights that also requires new hardware.

I have 10,000 miles on my new Wagoneer and all kinds of electrical issues. The most recent issue being when i try to back up the car stops and flashes brake in red. It’s a jolting stop. Constantly forgetting my seat settings and lots of glitches with the main screen.

Yep. And for the last few days after visit #5, the ABS noted a system failure on the screen. Today, the rear wheels / brakes LOCKED UP on my husband while braking. We have a series III but not a 4x4.

We are still dealing with most of these after 5 visits:
  • blindspot sensor failures shutting down the collision avoidance system,
  • screens freezing, or just deciding to reboot going down the road,
  • driver and center navigation screen freezing up and sometimes failing to load all together,
  • phone not syncing,
  • memory not holding in seats,
  • satellite radio screen freezing (change the station, the stuff is all still the same on the screen),
  • and my personal scary favorite...driving down the highway over 65 mph and the vehicle shaking and vibrating the steering wheel and into the passenger and sometimes rear seat. We've done numerous balances, changed a rim and personally paid ~$1k for new tires. Just gets worse.
I have video and photos of the sensor and screen failures, and the response has been...we can't duplicate that so we can't fix it. We have filed Texas Lemon Law.

Bought Series 2 wagoneer in August 2022. It has 4300 miles on it. While I was driving the emergency brake randomly came on while I was driving my toddler and infant. The safety bag indicator light has been on intermittently. Yesterday after I got home my trunk did not open. I called the dealership and they indicated it may have been disabled, so at night I tried to fix the trunk and the vehicle did not start. Now I am towing the vehicle to the dealership.

Hi! We’ve been experiencing the same issues. We’ve had the car 3 months. After 4 weeks car shut off while at a stop sign steering wheel locked up break locked up and lights on dash went crazy. Then while driving the dash would say, hands not on wheel, or key fob not detected and start beeping. The heated seats won’t stay on. It’s in the shop right now for over a week. They said both car batteries won’t stay charged, they ordered two new heated seat elements both are out. Said we had a ton of software updates as well. I’m freaking out ready to sell but don’t want to be upside down in the next vehicle

Grand Wagoneer owner now with 15k miles.
Issues include:
Speaker "static" (upgraded sound system)
Apple Car Play not working 50% of the time
Bluetooth not working 50% of the time
Screen goes black
Rattling in the interior
Condensation in the tail lights
Plus other things throughout ownership.
We had a Navigator before this with no problems and my wife wanted another one. I talked her into the GW, big mistake. I have had at least 7 Dodge/Jeep products in the past 10-15 years and very little issues. This has been a nightmare. So many reasons that we regret our decision. This has pushed us away from the brand and our Rubicon and Ram leases are coming up, won't be going with another Dodge or Jeep. Shame of it is we like our dealer. What a disappointment for a $100K truck.

2 days into a new purchase; you're scaring me, I didnt buy an $80000 vehicle only to be with problems and stress that I don't need. It was a dealer loaner (WS3) with 3000 miles, still classified as new.

So far the only problems (I have yet found) mirror adjust joystick sticks and cosmetic wear.

The auto braking is annoying trying to backup close to something, need to turn that off permanently. Do we need that? We’re probably all seasoned drivers. If not then something eventually is going to happen anyway. Occasionally I do back into something but I always leave a note.

Yes. Several times. The screen freezes, goes black and buzzes. This is just one of several electronical glitches. Not happy at all
