Good day to all.

Tried to like our 2022 GW Series 3 but in the end it was just constant problems. Bad engine, all sorts of electrical problems, left my wife stranded and crappy quality control. Also worst designed / engineered AC system ever that could not keep the interior of the car comfortable during the summer at all. Passengers in the middle row would just sweat and complain even after the car had been driving for 30 minutes on full AC. The second row has no airflow at all and the small vents and power of the blower system are a joke. Dealer felt horrible and FCA just kept saying it was working as designed and within spec. Off the record one of the engineers for them told me they knew the system was bad but had no plans to fix it as it would require extensive modifications and updating. So they obviously don’t care or never truly tested it in a hot environment. Shame on FCA!

We ended up finally getting rid of the vehicle at a loss of about 5K overall. FCA / Stellantis treated us horribly and did not care about what we had gone through (we own a Rubicon as well) and did not care about trying to keep us as a future customer either. I understand first model year and that car can have issues that can be frustrating. But making no effort at all to keep a customer happy in any way shape or form is ridiculous.

We moved on to a 2022 Escalade that now has 7500 miles on it with no problems at all. I do know of some people, and a very good friend, who have had issues with their Escalade’s but the difference seems to be that with their problems Cadillac actually seemed to care instead of treating them horribly. You can’t get away from having issues but you can treat people / customers with a degree of respect and courtesy.

Good luck to all and I am happy for the people that own these and love them. In the end that is what we all hope for. Get a car, love it, have minimal problems and hope the dealer and manufacturer stand behind their product when problems present, which they will will all manufacturers. In the end from my experience I would not and can not recommend to anyone to buy a Grand Wagoneer. It is lipstick on a pig.
I’m living this too. I could only wish to get out with a $5k loss. The thing has so much potential, but the service experience kills it.

You are spot on. It has great potential and hopefully FCA figures that out and tries to better understand the luxury market they are getting into. I am sure they will figure out all the problems within a few years. But their main flaw is how they our handling their customers that believed in them and spent a lot of money on these. I did not expect it to be perfect and expected problems. But there customer service and their lack of understanding on the market expectations killed them. Also for us we live in a hot location in the US. Their complete denial and lack of caring about the horrible AC is unacceptable for a vehicle of this cost. They just did not care and we’re not going to do anything. We ultimately had to walk away as my wife could not use it as intended during the summer due to the horrible AC. The Escalade’s AC system is way better. In this day and age you would think AC would not even be an item you have to consider when buying a high end car. Also the other annoying worthless feature in the Jeep was the ventilated seats. They really never seemed to work. I was told that they suck air into the seats instead of blow (no jokes) so when they are on and you are sitting on a hot seat and turn them on there is no value as you are blocking the holes in the seats. So they only part of the seats that cool down are what you are not covering. The Escalade seats blow and actually work as they should.

I do give credit to Jeep as I think the overall quality of the Jeep interior is better except for the pointless space consuming center counsel in the 2nd row. Hopefully the need to add additional touch screens to make the car look cool gives way to common sense and the offer the ability to not have it.

I ranted enough. I wish all the best and in 3 years when we are looking for another car who knows what we will get. But we are happy with the Escalade and it has not left my wide broken down or stranded yet over the 7500 miles of use, which unfortunately is not something we could say over the 4K mikes she put on her GW S3.

We too had major issues with our GW, dealership was absolutely horrible, it seemed like Stellantis corporate cared about the issues - but they are unable to fix them. My time is precious, life is short - could not trust the vehicle for long road trips (the main reason we bought it) never mind what future issues will happen. We moved on, I took a considerable loss of money with only 2700 miles on the vehicle, but it was worth more now than it will be two years from now. Bought a Lexus GX460 instead, old school reliability and a dealership that cares.

I've had multiple Wranglers, Grand Cherokee, and also currently have a Gladiator - I used to just accept the mopar dealers being bad, but once it came to the grand Wagoneer price point the service expectations are very different, they could not deliver on this never mind even giving me a proper loaner while the lemon is at the dealer for warranty work. Honestly this dealership was really really bad, I would have been completely unsatisfied with a basic Cherokee with the level of service they gave me. So we will be moving on for at least the next 5-6 years without a Jeep product.

Looks like the sales numbers have plummeted recently, not sure how Jeep can sustain this product long term.

Sorry but that is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
And the fact that you believed whoever told you this is something I cannot understand.
You really did not even try to question how a seat can suck air while sitting in it?
C'mon!!!

It’s not a matter of belief, it is how the system works on a 2022 GW S3. The seats suck the air and not blow, it is the design. Also the FCA engineer that came to look at my car and the service manager confirmed this as well. The thought behind the design is that as you are sitting in it, it is supposed to draw the heat away from the person sitting in the seat instead of blowing air onto you. Both trying to accomplish the same benefit but in different ways.

Sometimes it might be good to realize that there are often different ways to solve the same problem.

Well, I stand (or sit) corrected. I have never heard of this "reverse technology". However, with recently hot temps here in the NYC area, I can attest that the ventilated seats work as designed.
Even with my heavier work pants I felt the cooling effect of the feature.

It is amazing to hear about so many issues, and Jeep continues to drop the ball, and potentially sever any future interests/purchases with so many.

We must be in the few with zero issues. Been to New Jersey twice from Iowa without a hitch. Headed back soon.

We did get rear-ended in December, but all is working as it should after the repairs. We are thankful these are so heavy. We are so happy with our GWII.

Empathetic for so many who gave up and would too seeing the outragious

That makes me happy to hear more people without problems. That means they are hopefully sorting them out. Before all our issues my wife loves the car. The interior is awesome and the third row is the best of the large SUV’s. As said my biggest complaint is how they treated us once we started having all the issues. Glad yours is doing great. Enjoy!!

Be careful. My axle fell off . Literally. Right rear axle has issues that they are ignoring. 1 day old grand wagoneer and the axle slipped out of its socket destroying the differential and almost caused the car to flip over. Everyone needs to file a complaint with the nhtsa on this trNsmission and axle issue because stellantis doesn't care about solving the problem until someone is killed.
That is my fear. My series 2 has a shake they can't fix. If they can't fix it maybe it's a really big issue... like the axle falling off.

That is a good point. I remember reading about your problem. With the issue not being a simple tire or rim that would be my concern. This is safety and can’t be risked if they can’t identify the problem. My wife would not get back in her GW S3 after the failure and I would not have let her. Don’t care how nice the car is…..it is not worth putting your family at risk.

I'd find a really good tire guy, and see what they say.. The good tire guys have good insight, they see alot of odd stuff, just need to be honest.
It was road force balanced twice at 2 different shops and now sitting on a new set of Pirelli's. The shake is always from the right rear. It is not the wheels or tires.
btw - the second shop is a specialty custom shop. I was told they balance mud tires to highway speeds.

Where do I start?

I'll start here. Driving to dinner, the wife sees for the first time the new Jeep Grand Wagoneer driving down the road. We had an Escalade on order, that we were waiting on delivery. She used the words, "That's my dream car..". The next day, I canceled the order of the Escalade and proceeded to find a GW Series II on a local lot. Purchased it, and hid the vehicle until Christmas morning. She loved it.

Well, until she got into it to start it and it would not start. The vehicle sat and tried to turn over for about 20 seconds and stopped. It did this for about 5 minutes, we let it sit, and then finally it turned over. I should have known then that we were in for an adventure. The vehicle seemed amazing for the first 100 miles or so, around 4 days after having the vehicle the driver's side headlight decided it would not shut off. I mean, it would stay on all night shining against the house. At the same time we noticed the seat heaters were not functioning correctly (Randomly shutting off), then the Uconnected screen would freeze until the vehicle was restarted. The dealership came and picked up the vehicle from us, and dropped off another Grand Wagoneer loaner vehicle. They had the vehicle for 14 days. In those 14 days, our brand new LOANER Grand Wagoneer had transmission issues, seat heaters did not work, uconnect screen would freeze and we would randomly get all of the malfunction lights on the dashboard. Then, the power steering went out and left us stranded on the side of the highway. The dealership came and swapped out another vehicle for us. Now, 14 days after dropping off OUR vehicle, we received a call it was finished. We went and picked it up, and within the 35 miles drive back to our home, the headlights went out causing an error, and from there, all the dash lights came back on and we were at square one. The dealership came and picked up the vehicle and dropped off a Jeep Grand Cherokee L - Brand new 50 miles. Over the next 2-3 weeks of driving the LOANER this Jeep also broke down and had major issues disabling the suspension, power steering and the airbags of all things. We called, the dealership literally laughed uncomfortably, and sent us an older model -- which ended up working great. It worked great for the THREE months it has taken them to work on our Jeep and figure what out what was going on...... it must not have went well because THANKFULLY, we received a call from Chrysler advising us they were purchasing our vehicle back from us. We went through quite a process with that, it was streamlined but time-consuming, and they allowed us to keep the loaner through the process. They also provided a CDI code which is a Chrysler executive discount for the purchase of another Jeep Grand Wagoneer. We ended up purchasing a series 3. How stupid. In the first 50 miles our jeep broke down, electrical issues, suspension issues, the Uconnect screen would not even turn on without disconnecting the battery and reconnecting, and the thing would chime as you drove every 2 minutes, even though all doors were closed and seatbelts were on. There was no indication as to why it was chiming. We immediately contacted the dealership, turned the vehicle around, and returned it. This is the worst vehicle I have ever purchased, and it was not isolated to one vehicle, but a total of FOUR all running the same year / software. We decided to go back and purchase the Escalade, which we did and so far 1000+ miles it's been EXCELLENT.

Side note: I'm scarred from our experience. When I see this vehicle on the road now I have instant empathy and curiosity about others experiences with their vehicle. Last night, while filling up my Escalade I saw a woman who had the brand new 2022 GW just like the one I had purchased, and I walked over there and asked how her experience has been with the vehicle, she had an instant look of disgust on her face and said, "Don't even get me started....if you're interested in buying one of these you better rethink it... this has been the worst vehicle I've ever purchased..." I then told her my story and we shared many of the same issues.
wow, I feel bad for you! you rolled snake eyes twice in a row! smh... tough deal!

Wow we are having the same issues with our 2022 GW series2. Has been in shop now for 60days. How long did it take for jeep to contact you?
Thanks,

I own a 2022 wagoneer series 3.. just like every one else had the same issue. Now I am battling with paint issues. The paint is chipping all over the vehicle. Hood, side panels, roof, back. Starts with small bubble and then starts to chip out causing the paint to peel off. Dealership and warranty not want to cover the repairs. 3 professional bodyshop have looked at the vehicle, all 3 have stated is a manufacturer defect. I believe is time for lawsuit. Wagoneers are very expensive vehicle for clients going through this issues.
Also in the lawsuit should include thier false advertisement.

We have a 2022 Series II with over 25k and love it, we have had a couple of software issues but they were resolved fairly quick. I am sorry to see people with issues not being handled quickly, this is one of the most expensive cars available and the support should reflect that level.

We have a 2022 GW II. Many of the same issues as mentioned above. Newest issue is a series of 9 consecutive chimes that consistently and frequently (every min or few minutes). No warnings or any other errors display. Anyone else experience this?
