Thanks for posting this. I've already had one piece replaced about a year ago at the deal. I also purchased & applied some adhesive to hold another piece that came loose in the car wash. I am included in the recall.

 

Too bad they can’t give me some black trim instead lol

I received the email a few days ago from NHTSA. I an not sure what trim piece they are discussing but I will drive to the dealership this week and look into it. Do we need to receive a letter from the manufacturer first to get warranty repairs or should the email from NHTSA suffice?

 

@gblittle it usually take a while to get the notice and then it has a future date. Typical as they have to manufacture the new parts, get them to the dealers with instructions. I’d wait until you get the notice, going now is way to soon for something announced this week (unless you have other issues, then just add it to the list)

* you definitely want the updated part not the current (you can tell this by the last two letters (I.e., AA is the original, AB is the first update and forward. As an example in the case of the thermostat the problems didn’t calm down to AH)

 

I was going to ask my dealer if they can switch out to black instead. Does it replace the tailgate window too

 

Attached is the recall bulletin for the dealer techs

 

The dealer sent a mobile tech out today for this recall. He inspected the inside of the door trim visually. He didn’t remove the seal. He said it was fine. Definitely didn’t preform the steps on the recall notice.

2025 Wagoneer Overland All Good not on list

 

wow, I am going to guess if it hasn't fallen off or looks like its coming off, they won't do anything..

 

I took mine back to the dealer for inspection. They said mine doesn’t require replacement. The advisor told if you do, the replacement part is on back order for 2 weeks.

 

Had our 2022 GW S3 at the dealer this week. They did the inspection and ordered the replacement part. They didn't give us an ETA.
