Adding Factory Trailer Brake Controller

Hey everyone, I have a 2024 GWL SIII that unfortunately didn't come with the HD tow package, so we're limited to how much we do tow. Nevertheless, I want to add a brake controller and considering the cost of the vehicle, would much rather make it look clean by adding the OEM parts. My question is regarding the warranty/extended warranties and whether or not me installing this myself voids any of that? Does the software have to be installed after the controller is wired up? Will the dealership balk at me if I've installed it myself? I've also looked at the instructions and I'm a little unsure about running a wire all the way to the back right, is that correct? Any help/experiences with these questions are greatly appreciated.

Yes the dealership has to update the vehicles system for everything to work.
My dealer only charged me 1 hour of labor to do so.
thank you for the reply. I also stopped by the local dealership I've worked with and they said it would be about 5 hours of labor for them to do, but they could program it afterwards and it wouldn't affect my warranty, just for anyone else who may come across this.

I was unclear in the last message I posted, dealership said 5 hours, aka $1000, to install or I could do it myself, either way the warranty isn't voided and they'll program it for me. Suffice it to say I'm gonna try to do it myself. Looking at the instructions above, I noticed there is an install of an another part in the back, 68461254AJ, does this come with the kit, 82219095AD?
