Adding Factory Trailer Brake Controller

I installed everything in the kit but 1 wire was not in the instructions, So the dealership called mopar to find its location.
They programmed it to the factory spec's.
No one would know it was added after the fact.
Very Happy!!!
What wire was missing? Do you have a part number? I'm trying to get the install done myself and I think I have everything except for the jumper wire.

Looking to add this to my GW Obsidian, in the notes it discusses needing 2 4 pin connectors, can anyone help with what the second connector is?
  • Before ordering this kit, it is necessary to check if the vehicle has both trailer brake controller module connectors. The connectors are located under the left side of the steering column. Both connectors are 4-pin connectors. If both connectors are not present, the trailer brake controller module kit can NOT be added to the vehicle.
Thank you.
I was only ever able to find one of the 4-pin connectors on mine that was just under the steering shaft. I installed the kit and it works fine for me. I'd be curious to know where the other connector is located.

How did this work out? Does it integrate with they control screen? For example, will there be a new tab or something to see how much brake is applied or of its connected? Thank you
I got it installed and it works great. When you adjust brake gain or manually activate the trailer brake, the information pops up in the instrument cluster. You will also have the ability to edit trailer settings in the vehicle settings portion of the main screen. This allows you to configure and save trailer brake settings for 4 (I believe that is how many are in there) different trailers if you want to. Let me know if you have any questions!
