I bought this 2022 Grand Wagoneer brand new. This is the First new vehicle I have ever purchased. What a disappointment. First issue was the tire had a flat place where it had sat on the lot. Dealership refused to replace it. They said I waited to long. I had the oil changed and mentioned it, so they rotated the tires. I called them back to tell them it still wasn't right. Went in for 2nd oil change and they said my warrantee was out on the tires at that point. Had all kinds of electronic issues spent hours at the dealership 3 days in one week. Finally, got it fixed, or so they thought. Went to pull out of dealership navigation would not work, pulled back in very mad and they took it back to the shop, brought it back out 1 hour later. Worked until I started driving home 90 miles from dealership. Electronics started messing up again. Refused to take it back to the dealership where I purchased it. Wagoneer client services called and set me up to take it to another dealership. They had to pull the dash out of the vehicle and replace the wiring harness. Vehicle was good for 6-8 months then started having other electronic issues. Now it is changing language by itself from English to other languages also changing temps from F to C. Now the screen is turning off and reinitializing, takes 5-7 minutes to re start electronics and does it unexpectedly. Now vehicle is out of warrantee, I took it back to dealership, they updated the software, drove it home. Next morning got in the vehicle doing the same as before. Now what do I do? This has been a nightmare. Extended warrantee does not cover the software update.

Common Solutions:
Especially if your car was on the lot for any length of time, have the dealer check both batteries. Low batteries cause electrical issues, including problems with UConnect. Consider buying better batteries. If your batteries keep dying, your dealership has to find the parasitic draw. Search the forum for more advice on batteries.

Make sure you have the most recent UConnect software update. If under warranty, have the dealership do that. If not, go to Mopar’s website to find them and search this forum for specifics on how to download and install.

Also make sure you have the new thermostat that came out seven months ago. Otherwise it could overheat and leave you stranded or ruin your engine. Ask me how I know…

The most important advice is find a good dealer with techs who know what they are doing and buy the Mopar extended warranty before your factory warranty is up. The sooner, the less expensive I believe. Starting this year Mopar’s warranty is called FlexCare and it costs more. It’s still worth it because these cars have a ton of tech and are expensive to repair. Search the forum for places that sell them for less than the dealer, but read the fine print to see if it’s the same coverage. If you go with another brand, really read the fine print. I went straight to Mopar’s website, but others went to Granger or other vendors.

Some owners report fuses are not seated all the way. I believe there are three locations for fuses on the Wagoneer. Search the forum for more information and make sure yours are correctly seated.

Search the forum for specific issues. Most problems have happened to several owners and you will find great advice.
