Wondering a few things.

1. Is the 7k difference between the w3 or gw1 worth it? Better engine, seats, interior? Or is the W3 pretty nice also.

2. Did the extra chrome sway you from going to the gw series?

3. Is the HO hurricane that much better than the SO?

4. I hate having to choose console or bench seat second row in the gw. I wish I could have the opening like the w3 has to the third row.

I wish they didn’t get rid of the w3 carbide edition. That was the sweet spot to lose all the chrome and not have to get the gw2/3 obsidian. The obsidian doesn’t seem to be worth the extra cash 12-16 depending on configurations.

Just curious on thoughts.

I chose the W3 because it was loaded out and I thought it looked better on the exterior than the GW. I’m not a chrome person. I’ve had my W3 for over a year and still love it. The only extra that I have that I don’t ‘get’ is the screen on the passenger side. It just doesn’t seem practical.
I love my split 2nd seat. I’ve had to drop part of it for long cargo. The buttons make it easy to drop seats. The third row pretty much never comes up, I leave it as a big cargo area.

Just realized something on towing specs that I was not aware of. The 2022 Wagoneer series 3 with the 5.7 had regular towing capacity of 7170 lbs and a 3.21 ratio. Its replacement the 2023 has the 3.0 and a 3.55 ratio only has towing capacity of 5750. That’s a big hit!

If you get the HD tow package you get the 3.92 and it maintains the 10,000 pound towing capacity. Your comment about the engine had me scared so I just double checked the manual.

The tow package also comes with the trailer brake controller and a few other goodies like electronic rear diff (Quadra drive II), tow hooks up front, added engine cooling and selec-speed control. It's basically the off-road group (which isn't offered on series 3 for some reason) minus the tires. We put all-terrains on after we picked it up.

The Wagoneer interior is plenty nice. I'd say it's a step up from my '21 Ram Limited, which is saying a lot. Sure the GW takes it up another notch but if price is one of your criteria I'd recommend maxing out the WS3.

It really depends what you need it for, but the grand is sure a nice place to sit. I think they generally look the same from the outside and I assume the wagoneer is more capable in general. I swapped the badging on my GW for black and I think it balances out nicely with the chrome. I'm not even sure I'd want the chrome to be blacked out.
