We are running into several issues with our rear entertainment system on our Wagoneer Series III. I summarized the major things below. I was wondering if anyone else has run into these issues and if they have resolved them in some way.

1. No Sound for Rear Entertainment Screens -- We are not able to get the sound to play through the car speakers for the content playing on the rear entertainment screens. We click 'Listen' on the Media screen for rear entertainment, but no sound. I have also gone into sources and selected listen to the rear screen 1 or 2. Only way to get sound is plug in headphones.

2. USB video content only recognized on one screen -- I plugged in a usb flash drive to the 'rear' usb. The content/videos recognize on the passenger rear screen, but not on the driver side rear screen. Same flash drive worked in our 2019 Pacifica. Also when trying to mirror it says device not capable of mirroring to both screens.

Thanks!

We have this same issue with rear entertainment … also sometimes the passenger screen doesn’t turn on unless you turn car completely off and let it reset. We have also had the driver seat heat controls just not work also.

Same Issue with our Wagoneer. It's currently @ the dealer for that issue and a few others. Supposedly going to be addressed in an update. If you go to Vehicle > Settings > Reset > Restart Radio > the controls should come back, but this is a nuisance every time and should not be happening on a 100K vehicle.

We are having the same issues with our new Grand series III. Actually dropped it off at the shop today for the issue as well as the brake light staying lit on the screen at all times. Ordered in March of 21 finally received it last Wednesday and already in the shop. Love the car but hope this isn't an ongoing issue

Not sure if this is close to the issue but I recently purchased my 2022 Jeep Wagoneer Series II and since the last update, things have gone haywire with the system:

1). Surround Sound is not even an option anymore for the Entertainment System. I went to the dealer and they weren't sure whats going on with that.

2). The main screen doesn't turn on when you turn on the car. It stays black unless you press the button, it does try to open up when you start the car but only the Comfort Fan Setting Pops up on the bottom and then the screen goes blank.

Again, I went to the Dealer and they weren't aware of anything that they could do. They are trying to contact UCONNECT to see if this issue can be resolved. I am hoping someone else in this forum has had similar issues, especially after the last Over Wi FI update.

We spent so much money on these cars, I was hoping not having any issues :)

I just found this thread when trying to find a solution for the same issue. Has there been any resolution? We can’t get the rear seat entertainment to play through anything but headphones.

When I click “Listen” from the front radio screen or the front passenger screen, nothing happens. I can turn the rear screens on and off from the front, but can’t see any of the content on either of the front screens; just a blank gray screen.

It’s very frustrating because we bought the front passenger display and rear seat entertainment to make it seamless for the co-pilot to control shows for the kids in the back on road trips but at this point none of that is functional.

The Wagoneer client services people recommended that I should do the upgrade from my current version S21B.5 to S21D.5 (which was recently released). I've connected to the wifi at my house and I've set the radio to stay on after the vehicle is shut off. However, it still hasn't done the upgrade. I need to try to do a reset and see if I can force the upgrade. As soon as I figure out how to get it to upgrade I will post what I did and if it resolves the problem.

I completely understand your frustration. This has been a big step back from the old UConnect version we had in our Pacifica. I'm hoping software upgrades will eventually improve things.

I’ve got mine set to automatically update software over wifi. I’ll have to check and see what software version we’re currently running. I took some pictures what we’re seeing on both the front radio screen and the passenger display. When we click “Launch Source” it will show the “Fire TV” as a source, but when we click on that we are getting this message:

It looks like our software is also S21B.5. I tried to force an update by restarting the system while connected to wifi but no luck. Were you able to get the software to update?

I tried several ideas today to get the system to update. No luck. I was able to tell that the system connected through my router. However, it seemed hard to get a good connection/signal. I moved one of my mesh APs closer to the vehicle. I tried with the vehicle on "Run". I tried with it off, but the radio on for 10 minutes after shutdown. I tried with my home wifi and with the vehicle built-in wifi.

I think my next step is just to schedule it to go into the dealer and see what they can do.

We're having the same issues! Also won't show on the driver's screen, what's on the back screens - even when not in motion. Wagoneer has already been into the dealership 2 times for problems. One of those times it was there for over a month. Super frustrating on such an expensive vehicle.
