I also have a series II. And got it just a few months back. Happened to me today! No one around me, then a sudden loud explosion. There was no sound of anything dropping out of the sky hitting my Wagoneer I stopped checked tires etc. got back in and shut the door then I heard the glass rattle. I touched the head liner, can feel glass above.
Dealer took it right in, and promised to take pics and send to Jeep. But they didn’t give much hope that Jeep will stand behind it. So. Like you I wonder, as there are more and more postings across brands of this kind of thing. What will happen… someone said file a complaint with the NTHSB to join in on getting people to get resolution. Will update after I learn what I learn.

Yup, looks like a glass supplier defect or it was stressed during installation and it finally shattered.

Today I had communication from the Wagoneer team as well as my dealer. I learned that parts have been ordered and my sunroof will be repaired!
I can’t say how relieved I am and frankly Amazed at the professionalism and proactive support I received from the Wagoneer team! Thank you.
