I’d like to start out by saying my GW is my 29th car in 25 years, so I have tons of experience with various auto makers.

in my garage now is:
2019 Ram Limited
2021 Range Rover Sport HSE
2022 Mercedes S580 AMG
2022 Grand Wagoneer Obsidian

I have never, never, seen such horrible software. The complete software in these Jeeps are beyond glitchy. Navigation crashes constantly, the main screen will do down, while the dash navigation will work fine. When changing between menus, the system will just lock up and sit there for 30 seconds before changing. Just a few weeks ago I was on a road trip up in the mountains, and the enter system crashed and wouldn’t come back for 45 minutes. It was just cycling through boot modes, and everything was down. Radio, AC, Navigation, speedometer, everything.

Jeep needs to start taking these issues very serious, or they will never sell another $110k a jeep again. Once this keeps getting out to the public, they will be shunned by everyone for years. And at this price point, they shouldn’t have this dramatic of issues. Maybe Jeep tried to step into a level they are not ready for yet.

I mean come on. If They do not fix this quick, I will be sure to stand on the loudest soup box, and scream as loud as I can about all the issues owners are having.

same thing happened to mine last week, dealership said it was a software update. Had my wagoneer series 3 since nov, and already been in the shop 3 times, for a total of about 5 weeks. 1st was a couple weeks after i got it, battery died on me, stranded me at a stop light. 2nd was a month after that, all my parking sensors and cameras went out. 3rd time was this steering issue. on top of these issues, the carplay in this vehicle is terrible, constantly crashing and reconnecting. I really want to love this car, but its becoming very frustrating.

Did you get the 4x4 issue fixed

People always say a first model year of autos are bad, but this is next level horrible. I'm debating on taking a $20k loss and dumbing it.

Losses like that were in the old days. In the market we are in now I can’t imagine anything like that. There was another guy that had a dud on here that traded out only taking a 3k loss which would be more than worth doing.

How do you only have to take a $3000 loss? Mine was going to be a $19,000 loss.
There are numerous factors. If you trade at or below 10,000 miles your vehicle will be worth the most it will ever be worth. Here is a direct real world, happened today example. @60 days ago I bought a 2023 bmw X5M that had a msrp of $119,100, liked our GW we traded in on it better so we have been searching for an obsidian, one came in yesterday at a local dealer. Because I negotiated the best deal I could I owed $114xxx. The car had 4300 miles on it, it was like pulling wisdom teeth bare handed but I got them to give $109,000 for my bmw. I negotiated down to $100,000 on my obsidian. Which means I paid $0 in sales tax. Which means after I got done I finance roughly msrp. I’ve bought somewhere between 100-200 new vehicle, like anything else if you do something enough you get better at it.
