If Jeep got SRT to stuff a Hellcat engine in the Wagoneer or Grand Wagoneer would you change your current order and get one? For me it'd be a no brainer and I'd jump on it immediately.

With Stellantis' plants for electrification the clock is ticking on new hellcat vehicles and I'd love to hear one screaming in my Grand Wagoneer. I'd be shocked if Jeep doesn't do it at some point, for the amount of money the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer are you might as well get the best engine available.

Supercharged Wagoneer would be too loud for me.

I own a 4xe.
It's rad but not as practical as you may have been led to believe.

Around town... electric only It's awesome.

Off road with nearly 400hp it rules!

After 20 miles or so It's barely better than my GW at 20mpg.

Mpg? You gotta be kidding! My GW averages 15, my TRX averages 11.5-12 so I will immediately order one if it comes to pass. I didn’t buy either vehicle with any consideration of the fuel mileage. Anyone dropping over 6 figures on a vehicle wasn’t looking for a Prius.

So I did some research into this and was considering dropping a HC engine from a total loss into my Grand Wagoneer since the Helephant crate motor is far too expensive. A couple shops I’ve talked to don’t think the rear end will be able to support the amount of torque needed. So, as for right now, I am trying to find a solution.

My Hellcat Durango was amazing but I think a swap with this Grand Wagoneer would be perfect.

Don't let the rear end be the death of this... lots of IRS rear end possibilities from a Ford 8.8 in the cobras all the way up to Dana 60 and aam 10.5 center sections. Plenty of ultra4 guys run IRS.

Hellcats are dead after 2022 MY. They already are coming out with two versions of their I-6 turbo engines for the W/GW twins. The top-spec will have 510hp. I'd imagine they can just stuff bigger turbos and shove more boost to get 600+ for a high-performance model but I really doubt they would do that. Maybe if GM keeps cranking Escalade V's and Jeep decides to take a bite out of that small pie!

I wanted to say 2023 but I typed 2022 by mistake. Dodge is bringing back the HC Durango for one more year with very limited production. They are also having several configurations for their Final year of production in 2023. Needless to say, the HC motor is not being introduced into any new product because they are phasing it out.
