When you say it can't stay on is fire stick crashing? Or is it lagging?Has anyone gotten a fire stick to work to stream Netflix,YouTube, etc? I cannot get fire stick to stay on even though it’s plugged into the hdmi then powered by USB port.
Fire stick just restarts. Won’t let me choose anything on the fire stick. When you say it can't stay on is fire stick crashing? Or is it lagging?
I cannot get it to work. I have asked my dealership to just FaceTime with me and teach me how to actually use the screen. Not sure what to do with it since it doesn’t have fire stick built inI was just about to try this, did you get it to work? It's possible the USB port doesn't provide enough power for it.
So I plugged mine in today and it worked, watched live tv, granted I was parked and didn't mess with it for long, but didn't have any issues other than slow load times. I'll be driving it tonight so will have the wife check it out and see if it continues to work.I cannot get it to work. Just a fire stick 4k, I plugged it in and selected HDMI on the passenger screen and I was off and running. I will say it wasn't a fully smooth process, but I'm not sure if that was ATT wifi or the stick. But it worked....ish, lol. What are you using??? Can you show me how you plugged and power it?
Did you have to plug it into USB as well to power it?Just a fire stick 4k, I plugged it in and selected HDMI on the passenger screen and I was off and running. I will say it wasn't a fully smooth process, but I'm not sure if that was ATT wifi or the stick. But it worked....ish, lol.
Yeah I just plugged it into the USB port next to the HDMI port, I used to use a lot of fire sticks a few years back, and sometimes I'd have issue if I wasn't using the "plug in" charger and just tried to use a USB port on my tv...that may be your issue, try using the household plug to power it and see if that makes a differenceDid you have to plug it into USB as well to power it?
I plugged it in like this and it starts up but just restarts itself and says hdmi device is disconnectedYeah I just plugged it into the USB port next to the HDMI port, I used to use a lot of fire sticks a few years back, and sometimes I'd have issue if I wasn't using the "plug in" charger and just tried to use a USB port on my tv...that may be your issue, try using the household plug to power it and see if that makes a difference
Also, is the 4K stick small enough where you can plug it in then close the automatic door?Yeah I just plugged it into the USB port next to the HDMI port, I used to use a lot of fire sticks a few years back, and sometimes I'd have issue if I wasn't using the "plug in" charger and just tried to use a USB port on my tv...that may be your issue, try using the household plug to power it and see if that makes a difference
Fire sticks are finicky....I've had some that would refuse to work right without being plugged into an actual outlet style plug. Another thing to try since they are lower hungry is getting a USB c to mini USB to power the fire stick. Worth a shot. I may get a Roku and see if the experience is any smootherI plugged it in like this and it starts up but just restarts itself and says hdmi device is disconnected
Can you post the link to the Anker?I found that plugging the fire stick into the usb next to it caused the system to constantly try and set it up as android auto, which then crashed the fire stick. I bought an anker double usb plug for the 12v port just to the left of the stereos usb connections and a 6 inch right angle micro usb cable. The fire stick was stuck to the roof of the cubby with a command strip. Now you can’t even see the cables or fire stick as the all run up and over at the top. The plug provides more than enough power and even has one extra usb that won’t try to interface with uconnect. Also, if anyone wants to listen to what the passenger is watching just go into fire stick settings and “add other Bluetooth device”, then pick your wagoneer stereo’s Bluetooth and voila. Video plays on passenger screen with clean and hidden cables, and audio comes out of all vehicle speakers. Total cost me about $19 plus a fire stick I already had.

Clever. Can you post a picture of the finished cubby? Are you able to share the video to both back screens and play audio through speakers. If you don't add a second bluetooth connection to the vehicle speakers and the back screens already have bluetooth headsets can all three passengers hear the video through headsets?I found that plugging the fire stick into the usb next to it caused the system to constantly try and set it up as android auto, which then crashed the fire stick.
