Hi. I live in southern IL. The heat has been upper 90s with heat index registering 105 and above. I have had 4 other vehicles with panoramic sunroofs. I always leave the shade back because I enjoy the sun. However my Wagoneer is the only one I have had to leave closed because it has a so dang hot inside. Has anyone had their roof tinted with ceramic to help with the heat? Front windows are tinted as is the eyebrow on windshield. It helps some but not great. My air is always on lo with max a/c also. I can’t turn it down or it heats up too much. Thanks.

I put dark ceramic tint on the inside of the panoramic sunroof. It helps a lot, and it is a whole lot cooler than before I added the ceramic tint. However, closing the shade still helps a bit further. I agree with you about needing to run the air conditioner a lot more than my other vehicles, but I guess there is a lot more area to cool than in a BMW sedan.
Whenever I jump in the car, I immediately switch the A/C to recirculate, which seems to allow the A/C to keep up a bit better on 100 degree days. I wish the car would remember this setting after I turn it off.

I have had this issue in Georgia and have had to close the shade for a bit to have it get cool enough. I really need to remember to close the shade when it’s parked, but I just love having the entire thing open and don’t always remember to close it. The AC isn’t super strong. I think another part of the problem is that there can’t be vents in the ceiling.

I also love to have the shade open. I wish it would open all of the way with a single touch to the switch. Currently, I have to hit the switch once, then wait until it opens half way, then hit the switch again to open the shade entirely. I wish they would change the software to open the whole thing at once (like it does to close).

I keep the shade closed all the time and the A/C in the Wagoneer still can't keep up. The "big space to cool" isn't really a valid excuse either since Escalades/Navigators don't seem to have the problem. Getting the windows tinted next week, so hopefully that helps a bit.
