Looks like there were some early quality control issues with the rear badging!
Jalopnik did some reporting on this and Jeep says it was a tooling issue that was corrected in the paint shop and they've reworked the process so it doesn't happen any more. They acknowledge this happened on multiple vehicles but say none left the factory without being fixed. Still, I wonder if there are any out there looking like this.

So a rep recently said they “did experience some issues with badge alignment. Those issues were corrected before any vehicles were shipped to customers, including the one pictured in this internal photo.” I wonder how this got through. This sure makes you wonder what else this missed, since this was so obvious.
