I'm doing an option by option comparison between the Wagoneer and GW and noticed that for the GW it says that adjustable roof rail crossbars on not available for GW. Does this mean that the same crossbars from the Wagoneer can't be installed b/c the makeup of the roof rack is different, or they are simply not available, or does the GW have its own variation of the roof rack that already has built-in crossbars? Why would a SUV marketed as being able to haul around the whole family and all the family's stuff but not be able to be equipped from the factory to throw anything on the roof?

The crossbars are the same no matter which model. The roof mounting points are standardized across all models. For some reason they aren’t available as a factory order option on some series, but you can always buy them separately from mopar.

I have noticed something thats just as frustrating. I recently purchased the Obsidian model and its indicated on the sticker that the Crossbars are included. Its the only package I have seen this included. The dealership claims its only including the Rails. Thats stupid because the rails seem to be standard on ALL models.

Ok. Crisis diverted. I looked in the online manual and it stated the crossbars are stowed in the cargo bin. Had my wife take a look and bang! There they are!

Did you look in the truck where the spare would be? We had a set in there.
Should have kept reading saw you found them.
I do wish they came with 3 for all 3 positions.

my dealer indicated that they are removable and foldable. Others on this forum indicated to me that they are stored in the back behind the seats. I was looking at a WSI with Premium Group which adds the cross bars and I didn't see them mounted. But it the vehicle ships with these loose, there is an opportunity for them to "fall off the truck" or get misplaced. I tried the MOPAR site and they have exactly ZERO accessories available for the Wagoneer!

I bought WSI with the Premium Group and had explicitly verified that they were available in the trunk compartment. When shopping around, I never saw those mounted on new cars, but always checked that it was provided.
Did you also verify you got a rear mat and a cargo area cover? Those should be included with the premium package, along with 20in wheels!

I have a series 3, and under my rug in the back, are cross rails for my roof rack.
