Random,

I don't with Mopar or any non factory company, but I do with Ford and BMW, and personally I would not buy anything that is not factory. Other people may have had luck, but I believe that this way at least factory warranties know the details and the dealership can be your advocate. I have bought my prior Ford warranties from Ziegler automotive who sells both Mopar and Ford on-line. They are one of these dealerships that does a big discount and sells a bunch. My plan is to get the Ziegler pricing and take it to the dealership when I close, hopefully the week after next. If they match it, then great, if not I will buy from Ziegler. I will attach the link below, but look at how little they charge for the Mopar Factory Tire and wheel program. 6 years for $350. They limit claims on wheels and tires to $1500/yr, but think if you have 1 tire replaced the cost is covered and it will cover all repairs to tires. I am going to buy both the Mopar Maximum Care and Mopar tire and wheel. Also when you get to the last page with pricing there is box midway on the left side that says Promotional code. Use "PAYINFULL" for yet another discount. I plan to take that page completed to my dealer to see if they will match. This way they make probably $50-$100, but they still make money.

Glad to help. I have learned so much through these forums over the years. My last purchase was a Ford F-150 and there was a person who had VERY EXPLICIT was to buy your truck at deep discounts and was very helpful with details. If people share the best info we all win and the car dealers still make their money, but they can make their big money from less informed folks.

I used to use Ziegler but the Durango forums led me to Clay Robbins at Robbins Motors. He's extremely competitive and will beast anyone's price. Or at least attempt to...lol
I purchased the Mopar Max Care Plus and the Road Hazard plan called "Easy Care" that he sells, which was $50 less than the Mopar one.
I had to use it a few months after purchase to replace a tire and it was a seamless process. The dealer called the 800 number and was given a corporate credit card to process payment.
Hope that helps @randomdevice

This looks like another good place. I like Ziegler as I have had experience with them. The only comment I can make is I looked at his website and he asked for information, while the Ziegler one lets you fill in what you want and gives you all the alternatives. Nothing wrong with shopping at Ziegler. I don find it strange in your last part that the dealer called an 800 number and got a credit card, BUT when I used my Ford ESP from Ziegler, I really don't know how they were paid, I assumed since it was an Corporate plan they had some internal billing mechanism.
Anything that save s you money and is factory backed and managed (Not factory named BUT managed by some insurance company, is fine). Don't forget to get your best price with the promo code and if you can get another to beat it and are comfortable, then go for it. Again since I already have experience with Ziegler, my plan is to show the quote I have from Ziegler and see if my dealer will match when I close my purchase. If not I will go with Ziegler.

@randomdevice I'm not understanding what you mean by referral codes. Sorry.

@Houston GW III I compared the 7yr/125k miles Max Care, 7yr/unlimited miles Road Hazard and 5yrs/unlimited miles Appearance Plan
Chief,

I was wondering if there is a referral code that I could use if I go with Robbins that would send you some $? Like those refer a friend and get $50 back.

@Houston GW III the shorter plans are going to cost less. I typically have planned to keep my cars (which is why I look at the long term plans) and then something pops up that makes me buy something else...lol
The good news is the plans refund a prorated portion when you cancel them.

In 2015 I purchased a RAM 1500 Longhorn. I purchased a "Max Care" extended warranty through the dealership. The cost was approx. $3,500. It was as close to bumper to bumper as possible. Fantastic warranty, $100 deductible for any repair transferable one time if vehicle is sold. NO mileage or time limit, when the repair exceeds the vehicle value they buy you out. With 250,000 miles on the vehicle I have had over 10K of repairs completed under this warranty with no issues. I have a GW series III on order, and will explore the best possible extended warranty available through the dealer when we take delivery. I doubt "Max Care" is still available but if it is, I will get it.

It is still available but the unlimited mileage option is not.
