So I'm writing this new member introduction with some doubts in my mind. I ordered my GWS1 Silver/Sea Green/2nd Row Bench/Premium Wheels ~2 weeks ago. Initially I was very excited for the vehicle, but as I continue to read different threads on this and other forums, I'm really starting to question my decision and the timing of it.

So here's some context:
1. never bought a new car before. Always bought used and then CPO.
2. never owned a Jeep (although we are fans of the brand).
3. we don't tow or go off-road.
4. we love taking road drips.

Main reasons we ordered:
1. We want to carry <= 8 people comfortably w/ luggage.
2. I am 6' 4" and with wide shoulders, and I like tall vehicles with large space. I hate squeezing myself into small cars.
3. I love a v8. The 392 is very reliable (i've heard - never owned it).
4. Jeeps are known to have strong bones, and I wanted a vehicle to drive until kids go to college (~12-15 years).
5. Did I say we love the brand?
6. I offset my gas mileage needs my Tesla (which is our day to day city car).

Main reasons why I'm second guessing my decision (in the order of priority):
1. all the quality issues.
2. this being the first year model (other unknown issues).
3. recent recall news.

I'll keep you all posted about my decision (when it is finally built).... Anybody stressing about their orders?

I am stressing. I ordered February 8th. Was notified shipping March 15th, then got switched to the 19th. Then on the 19th the vehicle got switched to "storage". My dealership said it was waiting on something. March 28th notified that it is "in transit". Today is April 7th and notified "in transit delay". Really, Warren, MI is about 2 to 2 1/2 hour drive and I'm paying $2000 destination charge! Dealership thinks it's because there isnt a truck or driver to bring it here but they don't know for sure. I ordered the Wagoneer Series 3, fully loaded except rear entertainment and trail packages. I'm about to ask my dealership for my deposit back. I'm paying $92k for a vehicle that doesn't even have the same amenities as my 2021 Hyundai Palisade Limited (that cost $48k) I didn't order a Grand Wagoneer because you cannot delete the second row arm rest (think it's stupid the screen sticks up, when all seats folded are flat). I'm reading these reviews and am thinking this may be a poor buy. I too have never owned a Jeep product, or Chrysler or Dodge.

ours is shipped and expected in 2 weeks. I’m done overthinking… we like the car and even with high gas prices and questionable reliability, we’re going to pull the trigger. Two reasons - still the best road trip car and probably one of the more unique ones on the road. The v8 is going away so probably the last chance to get it now - before the hybrids/alternators get in the way. If it goes gad, oh well. Sh*t happens. If not, we’ll enjoy the ride.

Nope love it my only complaint is really my fault didn’t get the tow package, other than that super smooth and comfortable for long trips

Believe me when I say ALL brands have problem vehicles! Unfortunately the vehicles people get motivated to write about on the forums are the ones that give problems. The folks with the good ones are simply out enjoying them! Mine has almost 12,000 trouble free miles, fixing to make a Texas to Lake Tahoe trip with it. But the one thing I will say to anyone considering a wagoneer, the grand is a much better vehicle!

I also think that most issues that I have read about maybe they purchased the vehicle and didn’t like it and are using the issues to get out of it. I really enjoy my WS3 real reason I chose it over the grand one was price second and probably the main reason the ease of getting in and out of the third row. How ever they both are really nice

from all of the research I did and looking at price vs. features and my affordability level, I figured the WS1 with the Premium Group (Pano Roof, 20in wheels, etc) is the sweet spot. We looked WS2 and WS3 and I saw features that either annoyed me or didn't add value to me like power third-row seats. I didn't want to pay $10K-$20K more for those. Plus, everyone who complained about quality/reliability/bugs, had these fully loaded examples. So I'm keeping it simple and cheaper and crossing my fingers! You wrote your comment back in June. Any recent updates you have about your experience? I appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Other than losing a motor I’ve had very minimal problems with mine and will be buying my second one if it ever shows up.
