My GWS1 is almost a year old, and I’ve had a consistent issue with what seems to be the climate functionality for the rear. The fan will run up and down in speed with the system sometimes turning off the climate completely. Trying to adjust or override this while it’s happening through the main screen, secondary screen, and rear console don’t do anything. It’s as if the screen doesn’t recognize my input. The only way I’ve found to stop this when it happens is to turn off and restart the car. The dealership replaced the rear module and has installed software upgrades on numerous occasions over the last year. Unfortunately, I’m still having to issue and they aren’t sure what to do. Has anyone else run into this?

I had an issue with my lower front climate control screen acting possessed, clicking buttons by itself and moving around the screen with no input from my side. We drove around with the screen folded up to avoid it. A software update of the front control unit made the problem much less severe. Dealership replaced the front lower climate screen & control module, but the problem persisted. After a lot of diagnostics they determined that the rear climate screen had a "ghost screen" problem where it would "detect" input that wasn't there. Because it is linked to the front climate screen it was effectively controlling it too, causing the random clicking of buttons & functions. They ordered a new rear screen and once it was replaced, everything has been running perfectly. As with the other person it took several weeks for the part to arrive but at least it is fixed.

I’m still having the same issue even after the dealer looked at it again. They just tell me they can’t replicate the issue, so they don’t know how else to fix it. I’ve taken video to show them what’s going on. If anyone finds the fix just let me know!

Having a similar issue here, we purchased a 2022 just in November. Haven't driven the vehicle a whole lot only 1500 miles so far, but we are experiencing the ghost issue also. It's very frustrating especially for a critical control such as climate / ac . It appears to be completely random when and how it happens, one day it went completely insane (which I did capture with video), I ended up disconnecting the main battery for over 18hrs and it went back to the more normal mode of having occasional glitches. I've experienced the fan speed changing by itself (not in auto mode), sync mode changing by itself, recirculating air also turning off by itself, and also direction of airflow (face/footwell/windshield) also changing.
I just did a big road trip after Christmas and thankfully it operated ok for that, but now I'm going to try and get the vehicle into a dealer to look at it. I appreciate what you guys shared here, thankfully I'm not the only one.

@molson1972 Is your system still working after having both screens replaced?

Lower front screen was finally replaced today, interestingly in the service notes it says that the two front seats and center console were removed to install the comfort and convenience module (aka lower screen). So a rather big task to replace it. Part number 68438396AJ in case someone is searching in the future.
only had it a few hours but hopefully it resolved the issue. It was very frustrating watching the climate control a/c go completely insane by itself. This ghost issue was annoying.
ultimately it was Jeep Wagoneer services who escalated the part as it was back ordered so I do appreciate that. The dealer itself not so impressive due to them not wanting to give a loaner, even wanted to charge me for one, and then grudgingly giving me a beaten up 2017 patriot, like damaged body panels etc. it appears that the tech did a good job so kudos to him, but the dealer itself needs a major improvement.
I've been a wrangler owner in the past, plus have a gladiator so my expectations were low.

And as another update, the climate control has gone back to being crazy again with this ghost issue. When I store away the lower front display (which was just replaced) then it stabilizes.

Told the dealer and now they have ordered the rear passenger screen.

They must have a troubleshooting guide at this point from Jeep if they were able to order the rear screen right away.

Anyway, another week or so to see if this next replacement will solve the issue.

Yup, my system has been working flawlessly now for 6+ months since they replaced the rear center console climate screen for the 2nd row passengers. It appears to have been the source for the ghost screen problem that was visible on the front lower screen. Diagnosed by my local dealer who first replaced the front lower screen only to find the problem persisted.

Thank you for the update, wow I hope this is the solution for me. I'm getting the rear screen replaced next week.

So today the rear passenger screen got replaced. Noticed when driving home that the rear seat heater controls are not showing on that new screen, and on the main drivers cluster the odometer millage is flashing - quality job once again by the dealer.
