Is anyone considering blacking out the trim pieces on their Wagoneer or Grand Wagoneer?

I know the Grand Wagoneer Obsidian comes with them, and it looks great, but if you're not ordering that model will you do the same thing? I'm really thinking about it but I've never done it before on my other cars.

Any tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum @MonicaHans, I agree the black on black is amazing on the Wagoneer. Are you ordering an Obsidian? or are you going to add the black pieces yourself?

I am ordering all the chrome pieces to have blacked out by my local car shoppe - should stick out and accent well against the Baltic Gray......will post pics when available. Was unable to find an aftermarket retailer for trim pieces already blacked out.

Welcome @DocSkip74! That will definitely look good against the gray. How is the shop going to turn them black? Are they going to be wrapped?

I would think you can buy the Obsidian trim pieces (already Blacked out) and use many of them on the regular Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer (except grille.)

We are in the process of blacking out our Wagoneer. The dealer said the lettering should be available soon, like a few weeks. We are wrapping all the chrome next week and leaving the lettering in chrome until we can order those or take them to a shop to be painted. I can't wait to see all the pics that everyone will post!!

I was quoted $550 for just the top line chrome along the top of the windows from front to back and above the back windows and the chrome on the mirrors.

They didn't want to even attempt to quote the front at all.

Wow! We found 2 places. One for $800 for all, except lettering and one for $1600. And the cheaper one does really good. So we went the cheaper route.

We maybe have 2-3 shops in Green Bay that do wrapping, and they are very busy. So I think it was more of a here's a price and hopefully it's so high that we don't get the work. Oh well.

I bet you’re spot on with that assumption. My tint guy for the past 15 years sent me the highest window tint quote on earth. I guess he appreciated the 50+ referrals I have sent him.

Looks amazing!! All of this was simply just wrapped? I can’t tell if that’s the original grill or wagoneer had a different front grill than the grand wagoneer.
