Wagoneer Series III here. Anyone have troubles with their Adaptive Cruise Control not responding to traffic changes? For example I’ve got it set to 30mph. I’m in slower traffic, 25mph, with a car close in front of me. All is well. The car in front changes lanes. There’s a car stopped at an intersection down the road, out of range of the ACC. The car accelerated to 30 but fails to detect the stopped car until it gets very close and I’ve had to step on the brakes to prevent either a very hard braking or even collision. The cars I’ve had before with ACC never had this problem.

Hey @SeattleWayne, has this happened on multiple occasions or once?

Multiple occasions but not 100% of the time. It appears that it will not pick up on a stationary vehicle unless it’s quite a bit away. If there’s some time, it will pick it up. If I’m behind a car with ACC working fine, and the car pulls out of my lane, ACC will not lock on the car which is now in my line of site, especially if it’s relatively close. Now if that car is moving even slowly, in a rolling traffic situation, ACC will lock on. This is based on limited data - don’t want to take the risk of a collision in a test situation!
