Active Lane Management

So far loving the new Wagoneer L... One question for you all: How do you perceive the overall functionality of the Active Lane Management system? So far mine isn't great at picking up lines on secondary roads. The system rarely goes to green on those roads. Compared to similar systems in our Subaru and Volvo, this system in the wagoneer doesn't seem to be anywhere near as capable of capturing and managing the lines on the road. Are you guys seeing the same, or is there a chance mine isn't calibrated correctly?

My personal experience has been similar to yours. I only have a Ford and Subaru to compare it against but the Wagoneer does seem to be more picky when it comes to detecting lanes. Especially those intermittent or worn paint lanes.

I've had the most experience with Subaru's Eyesight and even though the Subaru picked up the lanes more often I do feel like the Wagoneer does it better when it does detect them. The Subaru likes to jink you side-to-side as it constantly seems to be reevaluating where the lanes are where as the Jeep requires clearer lines, but, when it does lock on to them it steers the vehicle far better in my own opinion.

I would say as far as just keeping you between the lines the accuracy dosent matter quite as much compared to actual lane centering. This is where I feel the Jeep is weaker. I feel like the Jeep shouldn't be as picky when lane centering is off when it comes to at least trying to keep you between the lines, something Subaru's eyesight does do better.

I too have the same experience as both of you. At first I thought it was something like it had to warm up because it would start to work after a few minutes, which was when I would be getting on more main roads. But now I see that it is just very picky about what roads it actually locks on to. I am really hoping there is just some adjustment or calibration that needs to be done, because at this point it seems to really only be reliable on major highways. I use to have a Telluride, and it would lock on to roads all of the time, sometimes too well, and I would have to disable the lane keeping so that it wasnt always rumbling and pushing the wheel around.
