Got our Wagoneer a couple weeks ago. The weather is up and down a lot here in SW MO but I just turned on my AC for the first time and it doesn't work. My temperature control buttons only will take the temp down, not up. I was planning on waiting for my first oil change to address the buttons but with AC not working I'm concerned there may be a larger issue. Anyone else having these problems?]

This has happened to others. The temp switches move “up and down”. Push the switch down to lower temp. Pull it up to raise temp. After you do it it will make more sense. Same setup on my old Audi.

I have air on and all of a sudden the air turns off and on, sync, rear on and off for no reason. So no air at this point for a long period of time. Dealership says it's a flaw and no way to fix at this time. So no air in a 106,000.00 vehicle makes no sense.

We’ve had our wagoneer for a year. The air conditioning is awful. It turns on and seems to blow cool air. The back seat is a miserable place to be because it won’t cool down and there is no way to maximize the air. We’ve tried everything. I agree, for well over 100k this shouldn’t be an issue. We are trading it in. I also hate where the handles are in the passenger front seat.

I recently was made aware that the factory tint on all of the rear windows is just dyed glass, and has no heat rejection properties. (All SUVs are like this, not just Jeep). Given how much glass there is and how tall the Wagoneer is, we just have a giant greenhouse. It's no surprise it's hard to cool down in full sun. I got a very light tint installed over the rear windows, 70% transmission, which takes them from 20% transmission (from the factory) only down to about 15% but reduces 99.9% of UV and 50% of the thermal energy from the sun.

No, you shouldn't have to do that. But if that's your only issue it's only a couple hundred bucks to fix.
