I've had this problem since day 1. I picked up my GW S1 in May of 2022 and every time I change driver profile, the Alexa settings are lost. You have to unregister and then re-register Alexa for it to work. If you stick with a single driver, Alexa works fine. We tried to only have one driver profile as a work-around but the system forces you to have one driver profile for each seat memory setting, so no dice. Dealership told me it is all in the UConnect software so there's nothing they can do about it. I reported it back in June to Wagoneer Connect and several times since, but I'm still waiting for a software update that fixes the underlying issue.

They need to do away with the UConnect system completely, what is this version 6 and still nothing works right. I have all kinds of issues with my system. So many I have a hard time remembering them all. The dealers can't do anything but see if there is an update, and those usually just fix one thing and cause new issues.

I think that the UConnect system isn't all bad, at least compared to the GM system I had in my Escalade prior to buying the GW. That said they appear to be overthinking it and trying to put more features in the system instead of focusing on improving/stabilizing the ones they have. As an example they introduced the new driver profiles which is an OK feature in my book, but didn't leave any option for a customer to have a single driver profile, skipping the personalization. All the vehicles I have had to this date only had the equivalent of one driver profile and I never missed not being able to personalize it. If they had allowed customers to stick with a single profile then the Alexa issues we've talked about in this thread would not be such a problem because we'd have a work-around. There are other little things like enabling parents to shut down the rear entertainment screens and have that setting stick. Right now, every time you start the vehicle you have to manually go in and lock the rear screens again. Not a bad system from my personal experience but too many features and not enough focus on fixing bugs and making sure everything runs correctly vs. adding more stuff.
